He built his.
It started the way it starts for a lot of kids in Thailand. A screen, a story, and the question that doesn't let go: how did they do that?
For Patswitch, the answer took two continents to find.
He finished first in his Computer Science class at KMUTT, then took that drive to San Francisco, to the Academy of Art University, one of the top VFX schools in the country. He finished first there too. Top of his faculty, in a city that sets the global standard, having arrived from the other side of the world.
Then he went to work at the center of the industry.
At Framestore, Luma Pictures, and The Walt Disney Studios, his compositing appears in films that defined the era, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Alien: Covenant, and in series like House of Cards. The work earned him an O-1 visa, the classification reserved for extraordinary ability. Few artists from anywhere hold one.
He could have stayed. . .
In 2020, he came home instead, to prove something that most of the industry still doesn't believe: that this standard was never tied to a place. It was tied to the person doing the work.
That became East Magic. A studio built to take the shots most others pass on, staffed by artists held to the standard he brought back with him. The work now reaches projects across A24, HBO Max, and Disney+.
In 2026, East Magic won Best Visual Effects in a Feature Film.
First in his class in Thailand. First in his faculty in America. Now the top visual effects work in the country. The place keeps changing. The result doesn't.
The kid still wants to know how they did it. Now he's the one showing everyone else.
